قصائد أعشقها

Hope was just a timid friend
She sat without my grated den
Watching how my fate would tend
Even as selfish hearted men.

She was cruel in her fear,
Through the bars, one dreary day,
I looked out to see her there
And she turned her face away!

Like a false guard a false watch keeping
Still in strife she whispered peace:
She would sing while I was weeping,
If I listened, she would cease.

False she was, and unrelenting.
When my last joys strewed the ground
Even sorrow saw repenting
Those sad relics scattered round;

Hope-whose whisper would have given
Balm to all that frenzied pain-
Stretched her wings and soared to heaven;
Went- and never returned again!

hello dear
first of all congratulations for the nice blog..i wish u good luck .will be waiting for your writings
beautiful choice by the way for this touching poem
i loved it when she said
hope was just a timid friend
it is so tricky the hope thing
sometimes we feel like we hold it between the palms of our hand and sometimes it just slips away without us noticing
i loved the part when she said
hope whose
whisper would have given
Balm to all that frenzied pain-
Stretched her wings and soared to heaven;
Went- and never returned again!

i wish that hope will always be by your side my friend
good luck with everything u r doin:-)
